Hello! Today, I want to tell you about the things I like and do not like in my life.
First, I really love my house. It is very old—more than 300 years old! I love telling people about it. But
an old house needs a lot of work (maintenance). Sometimes, fixing things is very difficult and tiring. It is a bit
like owning a vintage car; it is beautiful to look at, but it takes a lot of time to keep in good shape.
Next, I love working in my garden. But I only like the fun parts! I do not like boring work, like cutting the
grass or trimming the hedges. My husband does those things for me. However, when the flowers open
(bloom) and the fruits are ready, I feel very happy. I love peonies and alliums. They are beautiful flowers.
But I do not like gerberas. They make me think of my mean aunt!
Also, I enjoy growing my own food. Eating vegetables from your own garden is the best thing. It makes
me feel very proud. After that, I love cooking my fresh vegetables in the kitchen and making small snacks
(canapes). They are delicious!
The only problem is buying other food that I cannot grow. I do not like shopping in supermarkets. It
takes too much time to find everything. So, I buy my other groceries online. It is much easier! It is
interesting: I love the slow, traditional way of growing my food, but I love the fast, modern way of shopping
on the internet.
